passing a relay batonIdaho’s state legislature has joined the fight to protect biological girls and their female-only sports.

In a 24-11 vote, the Idaho Senate passed HB 500a, which prohibits transgender girls – biological males – from playing on sports teams that match their gender identity, Idaho Press reported last week

The bill was set to the return to the House after Senate approval, but the legislature was also set to gavel out of session over the coronavirus outbreak.

Steve McConkey of 4 WINDS USA is hopeful Gov. Brad Little will sign the bill and thus follow others who have stood up to the threats and accusations from LGBT activists.

"Mary" Gregory, weightlifter“I admire the politicians able to stand,” he says, “that they did not cave in."

The bill was co-sponsored by Sen. Mary Souza and Rep. Barbara Ehardt.

McConkey, a veteran long-distance runner, has witnessed the pro-transgender movement infiltrate the sports world for several years, which means he has watched men overwhelm female competitors and turn coveted records of scores, points, wins, and recorded times upside down.

In recent weeks, OneNewsNow has reported on related news around the country: High school runners in Connecticut have filed suit against boys who are crushing state records, and a Mississippi state senator described how many of her colleagues shrugged off her bill, the Mississippi Fairness Act.
