FCA logoThe Fellowship of Christian Athletes is honoring the daughter of evangelist Billy Graham for her longtime volunteer service to the sports ministry.

FCA has announced that Anne Graham Lotz will be inducted into its Hall of Champions. She has been involved with the group's ministry for nearly 50 years.

FCA president Les Steckel says the Hall of Champions is mostly coaches and athletes, but that a longtime volunteer like Lotz deserved a spot.

"We're blessed with her tremendous ability to preach and to serve and to share her heart," Streckel tells OneNewsNow.

FCA's announcement about Lotz stated that she has spoken at couples retreats, on university campuses, and FCA camps, among other venues.

The longtime evangelist is a widow after losing husband Daniel this year. He was a basketball star at the University of North Carolina and was inducted into the Hall of Champions in 2002.

Fellow inductees this year are Jake Bostrom, Wayne Gordon, Bobby Jones and Ken Mark, who will be honored with a photo and biography at the newly redesigned Hall of Champions at FCA's National Support Center in Kansas City.

A special glass plaque will be presented to honorees later this year.
