video streamingA prominent pro-family organization is premiering its own video streaming platform this summer as a way to prevent being banned by "Big Social" because they don't agree with the content.

Last year American Family Association released the documentary "In His Image," detailing the scriptural truth about biblical sexuality, same-sex attraction, and transgenderism. Available free for viewing online, the 104-minute documentary has received more than 360,000 views * – and according to AFA, has resulted in hundreds of testimonies about its life-changing impact.

The Mississippi-based pro-family, faith-based organization, however, isn't waiting to find out how long before "Big Social" finds the documentary and decides to "de-platform" it. AFA vice president Walker Wildmon says they're getting off the grid – or at least the grid's platforms.

"We're going to launch a video streaming platform this summer and it's going to have great content – most of it AFA-produced content – and our viewers, our audience, our supporters are going to be able to log in and watch this content," he explains.

And he says they've learned a lesson watching newcomers like Parler get canceled – not just from the platforms, but from the server farms where the applications are run. That lesson? Control everything yourself.

"I made sure [from] Day 1 [that] we're not using Amazon's cloud service," Wildmon reports. "We're going to launch this on a separate cloud platform, and we're going to build out the site infrastructure ourselves."

And Wildmon vows it will grow over time. He shares that a live feature will be launched this fall allowing listeners to American Family Radio to not only listen to but also watch the network's daily programs live.

Editor's Note: The American Family Association is the parent organization of the American Family News Network, which operates OneNewsNow.com.
