A skeptic of man-made climate change says Joe Biden is speaking “gibberish” when he claims mankind caused the wildfires burning in the West and the hurricanes that are ravaging the Gulf Coast.
Standing in front of a wheat field (pictured below), Biden claimed that President Trump’s “climate denial” is harming the United States and the world.
"Wildfires are burning the suburbs in the West," Biden said Monday. “Floods are wiping out suburban neighborhoods in the Midwest, and hurricanes are imperiling suburban life along our coasts."
Biden then asked how many more communities will be damaged or destroyed if Trump is re-elected and the U.S. endures “four more years of Trump's climate denial.”
Biden went on call President Trump as a “climate arsonist,” an eye-opening accusation considering authorities have arrested actual arsonists for starting some of the deadly fires.
"Biden has gone full climate astrology," responds Marc Morano, who operates the Climate Depot website and remains a skeptic of catastrophic man-made climate change. "This is unscientific gibberish."
Morano points out that President Obama made similar remarks during his re-election in 2012, when he scared voters by warning the weather is “more extreme” but they could do something about it on Election Day.
"Voters re-elected Obama,” Morano quips, “but guess what? We still got extreme weather, so I guess we didn't get to do anything about it.”
Speaking to her audience on American Family Radio, talk show host Sandy Rios said to suggest that mankind can affect the weather is an arrogant, Godless, man-centered worldview.
“That really is hubris,” she warned. “That really is shaking your fist in the face of God, and you can’t do that.”
Rios noted that California’s governor, Gavin Newsom, claimed the “debate is over” over climate change after he toured fire-ravaged areas. Yet the state is failing to follow simple fire safety procedures, such as back burns, to protect homes and neighborhoods, she said.
Rios also played a clip of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi summarizing the cause of the fires in her home state. “Mother Earth is angry,” Pelosi told reporters.
“That is blasphemy,” Rios responded. “That is paganism.”
When it comes to wildfires, author and JunkScience.com founder Steve Milloy said California has wildfires no matter what happens.
"If you don't manage the forests, they get really out of control," Milloy tells OneNewsNow. “There are a lot of causes for how they start. It could be a lightning strike, a utility malfunction, arson, and anything in between."
According to the BBC, lightning strikes are behind most of the 1,000 California wildfires that have started since mid-August.
The newest wildfire in California, in fact, began with a “gender reveal” party that sparked the El Dorado fire that gobbled up more than 7,000 acres.
"It is just another natural event that is made worse by forest mismanagement," Milloy warns. “For the last 40 years, there has been virtually no logging in California, no upkeep of these forests.”
That means the dry timber has been “building up” literally for decades, he says, so when dry weather combines with a spark, it will take off.
“One way or another, it's going to ignite and it's going to get out of control,” he says, “because who can control these huge tinderboxes? It's impossible."
