Ken Adams heads the Day of Tears ministry, whose purpose to convince state and national governments to dub January 22nd as a day to remember the children whose lives were terminated in the womb.

January 22, 1973 is the day the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in the case of Roe vs. Wade and forced abortion on all 50 states, "a date that has resulted so far in 62 million precious unborn children [perishing], a loss that just is inconceivable to people in terms of numbers," says Adams. "That number is, in fact, the identical number of the entire population of the United States in 1890."

So Adams is calling on government bodies to set aside that day for the aborted unborn.

"The primary goal of Day of Tears is to name January 22nd the Day of Tears, because it represents an ocean of tears for the children who have been lost and an ocean of tears to the women who have regretted losing, giving away, giving up their children to abortionists," the pro-lifer offers.

Four states have already passed resolutions establishing the day of remembrance, and at least another dozen are considering following suit. Adams says Memorial Day each year is designed to remember fallen soldiers and loved ones, and it is something he cherishes; he likewise believes the Day of Tears is entirely appropriate.
