surgical instruments 1After being punished in Texas, an abortionist may be out of the profession for good after fleeing to Illinois only to run into legal troubles there.

George Backardjiev practiced OB/GYN medicine in Texas for a time but pro-life activists recall what happened to him: He was sued by a mother after using forceps to deliver a baby girl only to fracture her skull, which killed her four days later.

The mother, Rachel Malcon, won a $10 million judgment in 2016, and the doctor's license was revoked by the Texas Medical Board.

According to John Jansen of Pro-Life Action League, Backardjiev then moved to Illinois, where he had a medical license, and he became an abortionist at an abortion clinic in a Chicago suburb.

“A couple years later, his license expired but [Backardjiev] renewed it in July of 2017,” Jansen recalls. “But at that time he did not report this discipline against his Texas license even though he was legally obliged to do so.”

The pro-life group filed a complaint with the state medical board in 2018 after learning where the doctor's was working.

Jansen tells OneNewsNow the doctor’s license has now been suspended in Illinois --- and his whereabouts are unknown.
