I Vote Pro-Life (woman holding sign)As Louisiana voters prepare to decide an abortion issue this November, a former legislator is encouraging them to not succumb to liberal indoctrination.

Amendment 1 is a proposal that provides that "to protect human life, nothing in the present constitution shall be construed to secure or protect a right to abortion or require the funding of abortion."

Former state Senator John Milkovich (D) tells OneNewsNow the proposal could eventually make Louisiana a truly pro-life state.

"This says, Hey, there's nowhere to run; there's nowhere to hide. We are making the protection of unborn babies the law of the land in Louisiana, and that will be effective upon the abolition and overturning of Roe vs Wade," Milkovich relays.

He points out, though, that state residents have been heavily indoctrinated in the schools and by the liberal media and the entertainment industry.

"Abortion is the American genocide," he submits. "This is like many political fights; it's power, money, politicians, bureaucrats, and PACs verses the people, and tragically, the people have been losing a lot of these battles."

So Milkovich is encouraging Louisiana voters to show up on Election Day and vote for the amendment to protect the lives of preborn babies.
