On Saturday, the National Day of Remembrance for Aborted Children, prayer will be offered in ceremonies at roughly 200 locations throughout the country, including 54 gravesites where aborted babies are buried.

"Sometimes just one or two little boys and girls have been buried," explains Eric Scheidler of the Pro-Life Action League. "In one public cemetery in Los Angeles, over 10,000 children have been buried."

The bodies of the babies at these different burial places have been recovered from dumpsters at pathology labs, and even from state officials when there have been investigations into crimes at abortion facilities.

Scheidler, Eric (Pro-Life Action League)Participants of the prayer event will be at the sites to offer prayer for the babies and to mourn for them, and also to pray with and mourn with all the parents of aborted children.

"For so many people, abortion brings years of shame and regret that they can't talk about," Scheidler shares. "When they come out to an event like this, go out to a burial place for aborted babies or a memorial marker and solemnly pray, they're allowed to experience that pain, and do so publicly, and ask for God's healing. And that's really what this is really all about."

So far, Day of Remembrance services have been scheduled at 185 locations.
