pastor's office (sign)A pastor and Democrat congressional candidate is causing a stir over his liberal views on abortion.

Raphael Warnock, senior pastor at Atlanta mega-church Ebenezer Baptist Church, is running as a Democrat for U.S. Senate.

In a recent television interview, Warnock said legalized abortion is consistent with Christianity and vowed he would fight to keep it legal.

Zemmie Fleck of Georgia Right to Life who says there's no question where the pastor stands.

pregnancy ultrasound“When someone states that they are for healthy babies and healthy pregnancies, and at the same time they are promoting abortion and in any way,” Fleck warns, “then we pretty much have to say that person is pro-abortion.”

Psalm 139 states poetically that humans are “fearfully and wonderfully made” by the hand of our Creator in our mother’s womb, so Fleck is hesitant to even refer to Warnock as a church pastor.

“It is just too much of an assault on what God's Word,” she says, “actually clearly states as far as being created in the image of God, the sanctity of human life, whether that is at the moment of conception or whether that is at the moment of natural death to anyone."
