Hippocratic OathA pro-life OB/GYN says a popular publication's hit piece on pro-life obstetricians doesn't settle well with the truth.

American Association of Pro-Life Obstetricians and Gynecologists (AAPLOG) says Mother Jones' article, published in April 2019, raises some questions and provides wrong answers. AAPLOG Board Chair Dr. Christina Francis points out, for example, that suggesting doctors cannot be objective if they are pro-life is wrong.

"I would say that those of us who are pro-life OB/GYNs are actually offering to women more holistic care," Dr. Francis begins. "We are offering them not only other choices outside of abortion, but we're also giving them fully informed consent about what abortion is -- what it does to their unborn child, but also what it does to them."

For one thing, the procedure can make a woman more prone to different forms of cancer. Emotional scars are also probable.

Francis

Still, the article goes on to argue that pro-life OB/GYNs are not scientific.

"Those of us who are pro-life and believe that life begins at the moment of fertilization, we have science on our side," Dr. Francis asserts. "Human embryology tells us that a new distinct human life begins at the moment of conception.”

The article apparently intended to discredit AAPLOG and cast doubt in the minds of women who have pro-life doctors. But if women want the truth about abortion, the pro-life organization has numerous resources available.
