Women seeking abortions in Florida are being warned to do their homework on abortionists.
In researching the record of Florida abortionist Jose Raul Quintana, Operation Rescue has obtained court documents that, according to spokeswoman Cheryl Sullenger, reveal a shocking pattern – including an unfortunate incident in early 2017 with an abortion patient at the Women's Center of Hyde Park in Tampa.
"While he was alone in the room with her, he did some things that were uninvited and unwanted sexual contact, and … she was very upset by that. She called a friend who came in to literally rescue her," the pro-lifer reports.
The patient filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against the abortionist – which Quintana eventually settled out of court, as he had done with several other malpractice lawsuits, according to Operation Rescue.
One of those other lawsuits (17 years earlier, says OR) involved a woman who had an ectopic pregnancy. Quintana removed the wrong fallopian tube, which resulted in the other fallopian tube rupturing. Treatment of the emergency medical condition resulted in the woman not being able to bear children.
Sullenger explains the challenge in trying to make Quintana accountable for his actions.
"Most abortion clinics that he's previously worked at have all closed down," she tells OneNewsNow, "so we're not exactly really sure where he's at right now – and that makes it even more important for women to really do their homework and just beware of what can happen to them at abortion clinics."
Sullenger adds that with Quintana's track record, it is unconscionable that he is still allowed to practice.
