I Vote Pro-Life (woman holding sign)Democrats in Virginia have been in the news for weeks over their long list of anti-gun legislation but they are charging after another issue: abortion.

According to Victoria Cobb of the Family Foundation of Virginia, Democrats are introducing pro-abortion measures that would drop the 24-hour waiting period, and end the requirement for ultrasounds and counseling.

If the Democrats succeed, Cobb told American Family Radio, their pro-abortion push will “wipe out every ounce of common sense” that Virginia lawmakers have enacted to protect the unborn.

Cobb, Victoria (Family Foundation - Virginia)Pro-abortion lawmakers say they want to create a “save haven” for abortion in Virginia, where Cobb says the abortion rate has plummeted more than 40 percent in six years.

Cobb announced on air that a pro-life event, Virginia March for Life, is scheduled for February 13 in Richmond at the state capital.  Virginians who march for life, she said, can “make a statement” just as 2nd Amendment supporters did when more than 20,000 marched to protest anti-gun bills.

"We have to say we aren't just about keeping our own guns,” she told radio host Sandy Rios. "We are also about protecting that next generation that is being slaughtered at abortion facilities all across Virginia.”
