Pro-lifers in Wisconsin and Kansas are keeping a close eye on Planned Parenthood, and they are encouraging politicians and Packers fans to do the same.
Pro-Life Wisconsin has learned that Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin was a recipient of part of the Green Bay Packers Foundation's $2.05 million grant fund.
"Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin is responsible for 4,639 lives taken through abortion," notes Dan Miller, state director of Pro-Life Wisconsin. "Here in Wisconsin, we are politically, morally, and religiously opposed to abortion in every way."
He says so much of football screams and hails back to the glory days of the Green Bay Packers, a team that is beloved by people in Wisconsin as well as beyond the state borders.
"So here we have this conundrum where this organization, which is so loved by so many people throughout the entire world because of what they've done both for the NFL and for the city of Green Bay, to violate our conscience who are also Packer fans," Miller laments.
Planned Parenthood does the majority of abortions in Wisconsin already, and its net worth for 2018 was $24 million, so Miller argues that the abortion giant did not even need the money. He encourages pro-lifers throughout the country to contact the Green Bay Packers Foundation, ask for an explanation, and urge the organization to commit to not aiding or abetting abortion again.
Meanwhile, local pro-lifers continue their campaign against a new Planned Parenthood abortion facility opening in Kansas City, Kansas.
First, when the owner of the building Planned Parenthood leased under an assumed name discovered it was the abortion giant, the lease was canceled, leaving the nation's largest abortion chain on the search for another location. Spearheading the opposition is Ron Kelsey of Planned Parenthood Exposed, which partly objects to a new Planned Parenthood facility opening because it wants to keep the abortion chain out of the city.
"We're also bringing up the sexual immorality that they promote to our children, which really fosters what I call a continuous loop of evil for Planned Parenthood," Kelsey continues.
He is referring to the organization's promotion of any form of intimacy as long as it is consensual, which promotes promiscuity, which creates a demand for STI treatments, birth control, and abortion. Some locations also provide medical treatment for transgenders.
"We again put forward our concerns of the values of Planned Parenthood both with abortion and with the promoting of sexual immorality," Kelsey tells OneNewsNow of his organization's recent meeting with Kansas City Mayor David Alvey. "We're actually going to break it down into probably weekly education pieces -- just taking little bites of the apple each week to educate the community as well as our government officials."
In the meanwhile, Planned Parenthood Exposed is paying close attention to any move by Planned Parenthood to buy or lease a property in Kansas City, Kansas.
