abortion activists protestingA recent encounter in Ohio illustrates the abuse that pro-life counselors endure sometimes during demonstrations.

The abortion industry often shouts loudly about alleged abuses by pro-lifers, including false accusations of violence and murder – but denies that abortion supporters, in fact, often demonstrate the violent attitude behind their own viewpoint. A recent example of this occurred in Columbus, Ohio, this week as Created Equal staff and volunteers encountered abortion supporters in a women's march that got a little nasty.

Created Equal: "You guys are yelling and cussing at people and calling us nasty names. We're not doing that to you."

Abortion supporter: "Your side is the one that tosses bombs and fire bombs and Molotov cocktails into clinics. That's your side!"

The dialogue then became even more heated after the abortion advocate stated pro-life street counselors deserve to be shot.

Abortion supporter: "If they're standing in the street and someone's going for health care and the source of the health care, too [expletive] bad."

Created Equal: "You think they should be shot?"

Abortion supporter: "I think that pro-lifers who stand between the patients and their doctors deserve something."

Created Equal: "Deserve to be shot?"

Abortion supporter: "They deserve to be shot."

Created Equal: "He just said pro-lifers deserve to be shot."

In their roles as sidewalk counselors and in prayer teams, pro-lifers are increasingly the victims of violent attacks. Created Equal has exposed numerous incidents over the years.

In 2009, longtime pro-life activist Jim Pouillon was holding an abortion picture at a school in Owosso, Michigan, when he was shot to death by someone who didn't like his message. Four months earlier, the infamous abortionist George Tiller was gunned down inside his church on a Sunday morning as he was serving as an usher.
