Members of United States Congress want the President Donald Trump to stand firm on the issue of life.
The game plan in Congress changed earlier this month when Democrats became the majority party in the House.
Susan B. Anthony List Vice President of Communications Mallory Quigley asserts that Democrats have a game plan to oppose the president's policies on life issue.
“Nancy Pelosi and the pro-abortion Democrats in the House have made it very clear so early on in this Congress when they tried to undo one of President Trump’s very first executive actions to stop taxpayer funding of abortion overseas,” Quigley pointed out.
However, House Democrats have an extensive plan to undo what the president and his administration have accomplished in the past two years.
“They are dead set on stopping the Hyde Amendment, which has been a longtime bipartisan policy that stops taxpayer funding of abortion here in the United States, and they have a radical pro-abortion agenda that they're hoping to carry out.”
Longtime pro-life champions Sen. Steve Daines (R-Mont.) and Rep. Chris Smith (R-N.J.) have written letters to Trump asking him to maintain pro-life gains of his administration and veto any pro-abortion legislation that might make it to his desk.
In all, 169 members of the House and 49 members of the Senate added their signatures to the letter.
