A pro-life group is hoping the state of Maryland will drive a late-term abortionist out of business.
After Nebraska outlawed late-term abortions, abortionist LeRoy Carhart moved his late-term business to Maryland and flies there frequently to commit the abortions.
Operation Rescue's Cheryl Sullenger says that local pro-life volunteers have kept a watch on the facility because of Carhart's track record. They have reported a woman was recently rushed to the emergency room, the fifth patient to do so.
This time, says Sullenger, Carhart was seen riding in the ambulance with the patient, which is unusual since he's usually not allowed in the ambulance and doesn't have hospital privileges to treat her.
Because of Carhart's track record, including the 2005 death of an abortion patient in Wichita, Kansas, Operation Rescue is asking Maryland to investigate and shut down the facility.
