Heartbeat of Miami now has four locations at which to counsel women with unplanned pregnancies. The executive director of Heartbeat of Miami is Martha Avila, who notes the latest office to open in Miamia, Florida, has quite a history, as it was actually an abortion clinic for more than 20 years. One hour after it closed down, Avila signed a two-year lease to set up the pro-life center.

“And it is located very close to the Little Havana area, which was one area that we always wanted to be a part of because Miami-Dade County is number one in abortions and abortion-providers in our country, per capita,” she tells OneNewsNow.

It’s not the first time Heartbeat of Miami has set up a pro-life center in a former abortion mill. In addition, a former abortion clinic owner is now pro-life and a part of Heartbeat Miami.

“Our first pro-cife clinic is located right where one of our directors owned and operated an abortion business in 1978,” she says. “So that was the first pregnancy help center, and now the Lord is giving us the second one. As you can imagine, it's a triumph for our Lord and Savior.”

Heartbeat of Miami’s track record is one where 85 percent of women come into its pro-life pregnancy centers looking for an abortion. But after counseling, 92 percent of those decide to give their babies life instead.

In its eight-year history, Heartbeat of Miami has saved the lives of more than 19,000 babies.
