A pro-life group in Waco, Texas is hoping its project regarding Planned Parenthood will spread throughout the country.
When The Center for Medical Progress' undercover videos revealed Planned Parenthood workers discussing the harvest and sale of aborted baby body parts, Pro-Life Waco sprang into action. John Pisciotta, who heads the pro-life group, tells OneNewsNow the project began when the conservative website 2ndVote.com added Bank of America to its list of major corporate donors to Planned Parenthood.
"So we started on September 1st at Bank of America here in Waco, and we protested that day and continued each week in Waco," he reports. "It's been a fantastic development."
Protests have since begun at Bank of America branches in Austin, Texas and Albuquerque, New Mexico. Some clients are making a difference by transferring their accounts to banks that do not support Planned Parenthood, but Pisciotta says there is also something Bank of America employees can do.
"The employees can make donations to various organizations, and then Bank of America matches that," Pisciotta explains. "With all that has happened, and the character of Planned Parenthood, we don't think they should be on the list, and that's what we're demanding -- that Bank of America remove Planned from their list for matching donations from corporate headquarters."
Pisciotta and his organization hope the idea will catch on and spread throughout the nation.
