An independent writer checking on a Planned Parenthood facility under construction in Washington, DC, made what she describes as the disappointing and shocking discovery that a Catholic contractor is doing the work.

Earlier this summer, Planned Parenthood of Metropolitan Washington DC closed its location on 16th Street, near the White House. Anita Crane, an independent writer and editor, did some investigation into the new Planned Parenthood facility being built near Gallaudet University to replace the one that was shut down.

“A blog called Restore D.C. revealed that a Catholic-owned construction company is building the new Planned Parenthood abortion facility in Washington, DC,” Crane shares. “That facility is strategically placed right next to a charter school for children, too.”

Crane wanted to check to make sure the story is factual and so she called the firm, Pizzano Contractors, Inc. in Alexandria, Virginia.

“I called to verify and a female receptionist said, Yes it's true, that's what we're in business to do," Crane describes. "I said to her, To build a place where unborn babies will be murdered? - and she said, I have no comment. Anything else I can do for you."

Crane decided that instead there was something she could do for Catholic-owned Pizzano Contractors, and that is to let the public know it is building the Planned Parenthood where babies will be killed.

Crane has posted phone numbers and email addresses of company officials from the founder to the bookkeeper, just in case people want to contact the firm and ask how a good Catholic can justify associating with a practice that violates their faith.
