According to an investigative reporter, the harvesting and sale of the organs and tissue of aborted babies has become big business.

The Center for Medical Progress' undercover videos of Planned Parenthood employees have recently brought attention to the harvesting of the aborted babies' tissue for sale, but the practice has actually been going on for years.

Royall

Linda Royall, an investigative reporter for The Stream, tells OneNewsNow that moratoriums were put in place at one time.

"But in 1993, when Bill Clinton came into office, one of the first things he did was he lifted that moratorium," Royall reports. "He allowed NIH and HHS and any other organization -- not just government-funded organizations, but any organization -- to begin using tissue from aborted babies."

That, according to Royall, is what got the industry rolling. In 2009 she was asked to find out the extent of the harvesting and the wealth of that industry.

"What I found was this: It had continued to grow from what was at the time anticipated to be about a billion-dollar industry to an $85 billion industry, when I looked into it in 2009," the reporter relays.

That is the business Planned Parenthood has been fueling by harvesting the tissue and organs and selling them through an intermediary to research organizations.
