A pro-life leader says the latest GOP candidate to throw his hat into the ring for president, Marco Rubio, has been one of her favorites for a while now.

Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of the Susan B. Anthony List, says it began for her a couple of years ago when the Florida senator spoke at their annual gala.  She says she had never heard a better pro-life speech.

"He is a true believer and the life issue is one issue that really propelled him into politics," she says. "You can tell when life is a part of the DNA of a person and when they have recently acquired it and trying to get used to it.  He's a true believer."

She hopes that the young Republican will now begin to take a pro-life leadership role in the Senate.

"To be perfectly honest, there haven't been a whole lot of opportunities to lead in the Senate yet because it was controlled by Harry Reid," she tells OneNewsNow. "Now we're in a whole new day where there are many opportunities to lead.  I have no doubt that he will."
