State takes action against abortion nurse

Thanks to a whistleblower, Oregon state officials have ordered an abortion clinic nurse out of the profession.

Operation Rescue filed a complaint against Evett Gradwohl when information about her work at the Lovejoy Surgicenter in Portland surfaced in a whistleblower lawsuit.

Sullenger, Cheryl"In that lawsuit, the clinic worker alleged that this abortion nurse had sexually molested patients ... even drawn a bird on the body of one of the patients, and that she engaged in inappropriate sexual harassment of other employees," OR spokesperson Cheryl Sullenger reports. "She even ordered other employees to lie to state inspectors."

The Oregon State Nursing Board responded to the complaint by issuing an order banning Gradwohl from "practicing as a Registered Nurse in any capacity or functioning as a caregiver in any setting" until further order.

Operation Rescue also plans to file criminal complaints with the district attorney's office.

"Sexual abuse at abortion clinics is really a widespread phenomenon that people don't really realize is going on, and it's kind of the abortion clinics' dirty little secret," Sullenger states.

"So we would like to make an example of this particular abortion nurse so that other people around the nation will become aware of this serious problem that is happening around our country."

Operation Rescue hopes the district attorney will take a hard look at the Gradwohl case.
