Hawley: Biden condones riots, crime, then pushes to take civilian guns

Senator Josh Hawley (R-Missouri)Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) criticized President Joe Biden Thursday for essentially telling Americans he does not respect their Second Amendment rights, as his administration has made every indication that it intends to confiscate civilians' guns.

“Hawley [said] that when Biden referred to the Second Amendment as a ‘phony’ argument against gun control, he essentially admitted he sees it as a ‘phony amendment,” Fox News reported.

Cancel Constitution?

Hawley stressed that Biden has no interest in protecting one of Americans’ most essential rights.

"He doesn't believe it's actually in the Constitution,” the Republican senator told The Ingraham Angle, according to Fox News. “He clearly does not believe in the right to keep and bear arms.”

It was further noted that Biden – who nominated gun control activist David Chipman to head the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) – is now more than poised to “crack down” on the gun rights of law-abiding American citizens who own guns for protection and recreation.

The program’s host, Pete Hegseth, reminded viewers how Chipman said last year that Middle America gun owners should hide their AR15s “behind those cans of tuna and beef jerky” and only bring them out “when the Zombies start to appear” … This is from the same Chipman who Fox News noted was involved in the federal government’s disastrous 1993 siege in Waco, Texas.

Referring to Biden’s refusal over the past year to prevent rioting and repeated gun crimes in cities across America – including Chicago, Portland and Seattle – Hawley indicated that protecting American citizens from criminals with guns is the least of the Biden administration’s concerns.

“[Democrats are] fine with criminals [being] out on the streets having all the firearms they want," Hawley continued. "[They're] fine with violence so long as it's done by criminals – but when law-abiding citizens want to own a firearm legally as the Second Amendment guarantees, they completely lose their minds – and that's what Biden is proposing to crack down on now."

Taking control away from Americans and making them defenseless and reliant on the government has been a top priority for Democrats for years, according to the Trump-supporting conservative from Missouri.

"This is really about confiscating weapons – this is what the left has wanted to do for a long time,” Hawley asserted. “This is what half the presidential candidates or more on the Democrat side ran on just a year ago in their primaries, and – at the end of the day – the only way to make work what Biden and the others want to do in the legislation they proposed, is to have a national gun registry and ultimately to take away firearms from law-abiding citizens."

He argued that Biden cares more about helping out China than advocating for the interests of the average American.

"This from Joe Biden – the guy who has presided over millions of jobs going to China, who has thought that that's a great deal, whose economic policies and the Obama-Biden administration hollowed out the working class … and now he says 'if I take away your right to bear arms that that will be good for you economically'?” Hawley posed. “I mean, it's just insanity."

Forget transparency, hello smoke and mirrors …

Biden was also ripped for trying to sell another lie during a speech on Thursday in order to take Americans’ guns away.

“[Biden] repeated a debunked claim about the supposed ‘gun show loophole’ and falsely claimed that gun manufacturers are ‘exempt from being sued,’” TheBlaze reported.

This reportedly came just hours after the White House announced six new executive actions taken by the Biden administration to fight the so-called, “gun violence public health epidemic” in America – with new restrictions on “ghost guns” and pistol braces … not to mention a model “red flag” gun law for states.

The same day – at his gun control speech at the Rose Garden – the president pushed ultra-left policies to disarm America.

“Biden called on Congress to greatly expand the initiatives and pass laws banning assault weapons, eliminating gun manufacturer immunity and ending the ‘gun show loophole,’" TheBlaze recounted.

Media in the nation’s capital did not let the president get away with trying to sell the American public on falsehoods.

"Biden just lied about how background checks work,” tweeted Stephen Gutowski – a firearms expert for the Washington Free Beacon. “He said gun shows are exempt from background check requirements. That is completely false. All that matters in terms of background checks is whether you are buying from a licensed dealer or not."

Another deception was also exposed.

"Biden also falsely said gun manufacturers are 'the only outfit that's exempt from being sued,'” Gutowski’s next tweet reads. “Biden wants to repeal the [Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act] which only prevents lawsuits based on the criminal misuse of their products by third parties. Gun makers can [be] & are sued for other reasons."
