U.S. Senate sworn in for impeachment trialA constitutional attorney and public policy analyst believes the ultimate goal for Donald Trump's impeachment trial is to convince voters that the former president is "unfit for public life," and so is anyone who supports him.

As One News Now has reported, the Senate is moving forward with the impeachment trial against a private citizen on a charge of "incitement of insurrection" related to the violence that broke out at the U.S. Capitol on January 6th.

Abraham Hamilton III, general counsel and public policy analyst for the American Family Association, says the trial is an unconstitutional sham, and the Democrats know it.

"By conducting this sham impeachment trial, what I believe the Democrats are attempting to accomplish is to further communicate that President Trump and those who supported him are unfit for public life," Hamilton submits. "I think that is their ultimate goal."

Still, he fully expects Biden will okay the proceedings because he is beholden to what Hamilton calls the myopic radical regressives in the Democrat Party – "supporters of the Green New Deal, supporters of the Equality Act, supporters of all things to uproot the founding of America and to supplant it and replace it with a new America forged in the form of Gramsci's Marxism, of having a Gramscian application to the United States of America."

"That is why you will not hear Joe Biden say those things, because he knows that the people within his own party, among his own base, will not abide him for doing so," Hamilton adds.

He believes the left desires to demoralize Trump supporters.
