AOC vows to swing Biden even further left

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (wide-eyed)Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) made a promise to fellow socialists and Democrats that if former Vice President Joe Biden is elected president in November, she and fellow progressive Democrats will “likely” sway him to the far left on pressing issues – from going greener to outright open borders.

The firebrand democratic socialist leader of the Squad lamented the fact that Biden isn’t as far to the left as fellow socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), but impressed that fact that she and Democrats have some work to do to get him fully aligned with a radical left agenda.

"We're different people, and clearly, I – in the primary – one of the reasons why I was supportive of Senator Sanders was because of how progressive his stances are, but, you know, the primaries are over, and right now, what is most important is to make sure that we ensure a Democratic victory in November and that we continue to push Vice President Biden on issues from marijuana to climate change to foreign policy,” AOC assured Just the News in a Tuesday interview.

A full spectrum of deep-blue on the horizon?

Legalizing drugs and pushing the multi-trillion-dollar narrative on what many skeptics call “science fiction” to combat so-called manmade “global warming” are not the only hot-button issues in which Ocasio-Cortez will work to infuse a socialist worldview upon the 2020 Democratic presidential nominee.

"I think, overall, we can likely push Vice President Biden in a more progressive direction across policy issues," she continued. "I think foreign policy is an enormous area where we can improve; immigration is another one.”

According to Ocasio-Cortez, all she is trying to do is lead more moderate Democrats further left for their own good.

“There are some areas where we just fundamentally disagree, but that's okay," the representative from New York assured. "I think it's important to acknowledge that we can have – in some cases – very large disagreements. It doesn't mean that we're trying to undermine the party or undermine each other – it means that we're trying to do what's best for people in the country."

She noted the difference she has with Biden on health care reform, calling his campaign “pretty stubborn” on the issue.

“Biden calls for a building up Obamacare with a federally run public option, where Ocasio-Cortez’s wing of the party is pushing Medicare-for-All,” Fox News explained.

But she returned to her anti-Trump stance, claiming that a public option still beats out the current health care system under the Trump administration, while impressing the need for a “mass movement” pushing Medicare-for-All to get Biden on board.

"One concern I'd say that I have with a public option is that it very easily allows insurance companies to just kind of bump off their more expensive patients onto a public option, thus making an increase in the costs on a public option and kind of them keeping healthier people that require less insurance coverage for themselves," AOC argued. "The whole purpose of insurance is to even out those costs, which is why I believe single-payer is a better policy, so in terms of that we do disagree – but either way, I do think that a public option is likely a better scenario than we have right now."

Pushing for no consequences for immigrants breaking into the country illegally and for giving convicted criminals get-out-of-jail-free cards – along with advocating for the “full legalization” of marijuana – are some of the top issues AOC wishes to drill Biden on … if he settles into the Oval Office in January.

"We'll see what progress that we're able to make on issues like immigration and criminal justice reform, but – you know – we will hash those out,” Ocasio-Cortez insisted. "Our main priority is to make sure that the vice president is successful and victorious in November so that we can have those kinds of conversations in the first place from a more effective stance with him in the White House."

Preying on the feeble-minded?

With what many recognize as the degeneration of Biden’s mind – as witnessed with his ever-increasing gaffes – the conservative media sees his vulnerability to leftwing radicals such as Ocasio-Cortez as a major threat to America as we know it.

“[T]he 77-year-old now poses a grave danger to the country’s founding principles, [and] is continually being pushed further left by his party’s more radical wing,” the Western Journal noted. “Depending on who you ask, Biden is also suffering from a cognitive decline that makes him ripe for manipulation, and radical, far-left Democrats [such as AOC] appear to be embracing that. Like a shark, she smells blood in the water.”

It is believed that coaxing Biden to move from moderate to radical on major issues should not be that difficult of a task.

“Democrats see the 77-year-old as a blank palette who can be pressured or puppeteered into leading the way in enacting the left’s radical policy proposals on health care, energy, criminal justice reform and the economy,” the conservative news outlet pointed out. “Talk of Biden – who can hardly speak coherently for prolonged periods of time – being a proxy or a ‘Trojan Horse’ for socialism – as President Donald Trump has described him – suddenly doesn’t seem so far-fetched.”

And with a far-left Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) as his pick for vice president, many conservatives fear Biden will merely serve as a placeholder until she takes over the presidency.

“Biden is an empty vessel – Trump and his surrogates have been saying it, and they’re right: California Sen. Kamala Harris, Biden’s running mate, hinted at it this week when she referred to ‘a Harris administration, together with Joe Biden as the president of the United States,” the Western Journal recounted. “Speculation that Biden is indeed a Trojan Horse for the left’s radical vision for America has been given more credence.”

Biden’s predicted absence from the White House is feared more than his occupancy.

“Suddenly Biden – one of the most flawed and ineffectual creatures in the Washington swamp – has become the most dangerous man in modern American politics,” the report contended. “With a Democratic victory in November, Harris – a senator more liberal than Sanders – would be a 25th Amendment invocation away from leading the country.”
