Trump and Braun (Indiana nominee)Fox News viewers witnessed a lively debate between a show host and a U.S. senator this week, on the cable network’s most-watched program, and a constituent says he was ashamed at what he saw.

Fox News itself reported on the “spirited debate” between evening host Tucker Carlson and guest Sen. Mike Braun, a Republican from Indiana. The first-term senator was invited on the show to defend his support for the Black Lives Matter group, and defend his bill that would drop legal protections for law enforcement officers.

Sen. Braun (pictured above with Trump) introduced the Reforming Qualified Immunity Act last week, which he told Carlson was necessary because Democrats have seized the issue of police reform, leaving Republicans on the outside of a big issue.

"Chuck Schumer has already decided he can make hay of this in the election,” Braun said, “and we will end up on the short side of it again.”

"I thought Republicans controlled the Senate,” Carlson shot back. “So you're taking your cues from Chuck Schumer [and] saying, He might criticize me, therefore I have to pass a law that makes it easier to sue police?"

“It’s as if [Braun] thinks he can appease the Far Left as a conservative Republican,” Clark says, “by putting forward a bill.”

Clark says he was also appalled to watch Sen. Braun defend the Black Lives Matter organization, even after Carlson pointed out the far-left group states on its website it wants to get rid of the nuclear family.

(Carlson said BLM states it wants to “abolish” the nuclear family. The website says the group want to “disrupt” what it calls the “Western-prescribed nuclear family structure.”)

Tucker Carlson (Fox News)“I support anybody that does have a grievance to be able to air it,” Braun, who gave a similar endorsement last week, told Carlson.

Some news outlets have pointed out the “What We Believe” section on the Black Lives Matter website includes numerous Marxist phrases, such as “comrade” and “struggle” and “collective.”

To back up that suspicion, video from 2015 surfaced in recent days in which BLM co-founder Patrisse Cullors assures a far-left interviewer that she and Alicia Garza, another co-founder, are “trained Marxists,” and news outlets such as The New York Post are publishing that revelation at the same time other media outlets appear to ridicue Republicans for making such claims.

“This is about revolution. This is about destroying what America stands for,” Clark says of BLM. “ They don't care about police brutality. They don't care about black lives or they wouldn't support abortion, which disproportionately kills black babies. This about the upheaval of American society and Braun should know better than that."

Carlson himself knows about the left-wing mob and how it operates: Far-left activists have convinced some advertisers to drop his show, which is breaking all-time records for a TV audience on Fox News.
