Joe Biden & Donald TrumpA conservative activist has no doubt that President Trump will win in any debate showdown with Joe Biden.

Though Joe Biden has mostly been hiding out in Delaware to avoid the coronavirus, his campaign has announced that he has agreed to three general election debates with President Trump.

Much has been made of Biden's gaffes over the years, which have become more pronounced in recent months as the former vice president has struggled on the stump.

"I believe that in any debate showdown between President Trump and former Vice President Biden that President Trump will win that confrontation, hands down," says Gary Bauer of the Campaign for Working Families.

He adds, though, that the president will have to overcome a stacked deck.

"I know that when those debates take place it will be the president not only against former Vice President Biden, but against the moderators, the questioners, the tone of the question, and probably the audience," he predicts.

Still, Bauer advises the Trump campaign to not push too hard for a level playing field.

"Vice President Biden's campaign would be perfectly happy if there weren't any debates," he submits. "So if the president insists on certain ground rules, I could see the Biden campaign using that as an excuse to withdraw from the debates altogether."
