Pelosi quiets cheering DemsA pro-family organization says the American people should urge the U.S. Senate to vote down a massive spending bill approved by House Democrats.

“Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats have presented a $3 trillion dollar pile of garbage as legislation,” Walker Wildmon, a spokesman for the American Family Association, says of the COVID-19 relief bill that passed last Friday.

Critics say the legislation has been deceptively dubbed the HEROES Act when it is really a far-left wish list being rolled out amid the pandemic.

Wildmon

According to Wildmon, Democrats have filled the bill with their “pet items” that would “roll out socialism” for the U.S. if passed by the Senate.

One particular concern, he says, is the proposed bailout for states.

“State bailouts are a horrible idea and here's why: By bailing out states, we are encouraging bad behavior,” Wildmon warns. “We are encouraging bad spending practices at the state level.”

AFA urged its supporters to call their senators in an "Action Alert" that can be read here.

GOP leaders in the Senate have vowed the bill is dead on arrival in its current form, and Wildmon predicts the Senate will ensure that happens.
