Pelosi leads Dems down stepsA tea party leader predicts Democrats are chasing a dead end in their obsession over impeaching President Trump.

Many prominent Democratic leaders have predicted not just impeachment but a prison cell for Trump and his family, and those predictions have not slowed despite the Mueller Report’s conclusion that snatched away any legal push to indict Trump for Russian collusion and obstruction.

Presidential candidates Kamala Harris and Elizabeth Warren called for the president's impeachment just last week but House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, aware of the GOP-controlled Senate, has urged caution in her own far-left political party.

Tom Zawistowski, executive director of the Portage County Tea Party, predicts Trump will never be impeached.

Rachel Maddow Trump-Russia show“There's no way it passes the Senate and quite frankly it's really just a political tactic,” he observes. “I think that the Left just wants to feed their base, and they think that's going to drive them to removing Trump in the 2020 election.”

The veteran political activist predicts that tactic will be proven wrong, citing as one example the overnight loss of viewers on cable networks CNN and MSNBC after the Mueller Report was made public, when viewers were assured for more than a year that Trump is so deeply tied to Russia he was like a secret agent in the White House.

“You'll see that their own people have realized that they've been lied to,” Zawistowski says, “and they've walked away in huge numbers. And they're not getting them back by continuing to lie are they?”
