Msg to Trump: Don't do it!

EEOC bannerPresident Trump is getting an earful for re-nominating a radical lesbian activist to a post on a federal commission who has clearly demonstrated her animosity toward individuals' religious beliefs.

Chai Feldblum has stated that she wants to use her position on the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission to radically change America:

Feldblum: "We want to change the American workplace and we want to revolutionize social norms. How do I think about that strategic plan? Number one, it requires a statement that gay sex is morally good."

And she has the power to get it done: the EEOC is responsible for enforcing federal laws that make it illegal to discriminate against a job applicant or an employee.

Brad Dacus of the Pacific Justice Institute says it's reckless and irresponsible for President Trump to keep her on the EEOC.

Dacus, Brad (PJI)"Ms. Feldblum endorses polygamy and holds that the institution of marriage offers no value to society," the attorney tells OneNewsNow. "She even was quoted as saying: There can be a conflict between religious liberty and sexual liberty, but in almost all cases the sexual liberty should win."

The American Family Association says comments like that make Feldblum "a threat to religious liberty" – and that's why they have an online petition urging President Trump to withdraw her nomination.

"[Her] influence at the EEOC places a so-called right to sexual deviancy (sexual sin) over and above religious liberty," AFA argues. "Her mixed-up views force Christians to abandon their deeply held religious beliefs on marriage and sexuality."

In addition, AFA says to the president in the petition: "Chai Feldblum undermines your commitment to protect and preserve religious liberty ... as well as your guidance to Attorney General Jeff Session on protecting religious liberty."

In an earlier report on the re-nomination of Feldblum, an AFA spokesperson described her as "the most radical advocate of LGBT policy" – and as the person "who pushed all of Obama's radical policies, wrote them, implemented them, and made sure they took place."

Dacus maintains that Feldblum is relentlessly working at seeing her vision be the law of the land as soon as possible. And he points out that her goals are directly at odds with the First Amendment of the Constitution.

"Anyone serving on the EEOC must have respect for the Constitution," he states, "and you cannot have respect for the Constitution of the United States when you take the Free Exercise clause of the First Amendment and put it in the back of the bus behind all these new liberal agendas."

Both Dacus and AFA are urging individuals to contact the White House and demand that the re-nomination of Feldblum be withdrawn. She was originally nominated by President Obama in 2010; her current term expires on July 1, 2018.
