Democrats' seething hatred of President Trump – and those who voted for him - seems to be growing by the day.
"I oppose this president. I do not honor this president. I do not respect this president," Rep. Maxine Waters, who has already announced her intentions to impeach Trump, declared this week on the floor of the House.
She even questioned the patriotism of Trump supporters, suggesting that they're ignoring the "destruction" he is causing to the country.
"You're not nearly as patriotic as we are," the California congresswoman said of Trump voters.
Over in the U.S. Senate, Chuck Schumer reportedly accosted wealthy Trump supporter Hilary Califano when he spotted her at a swanky New York restaurant.
Califano is the daughter of CBS founder William S. Paley and her husband Joseph served in the Carter administration. One witness said Schumer repeatedly yelled "He's a liar" in a tirade at Califano.
Waters, meanwhile, went on to complain about Trump's visits to his "southern White House" in Mara Lago.
"She was talking about this President doesn't respect us. He goes out every weekend and plays golf. He won't meet with members of Congress, and he wants to run roughshod over congress," observes political consultant Jeff Crank. "And I thought, Gosh, she must be talking about Barack Obama."
Waters has been mocked by conservatives for her far-left rantings, such as stating the tea party movement can "go straight to hell."
But she is also known for penning a letter to Fidel Castro apologizing after she mistakenly voted for a House resolution asking Castro to give up a cop-killer who fled to Cuba and was granted asylum.
This is the same Democratic party that President Trump reached out to after his health care bill failed to pass in the House.
"Do you think Maxine Waters is going to work with you?" Crank asks of Trump. "She's not going to work with you. Neither is Chuck Schumer or Nancy Pelosi or any of these folks."
