A traditional values leader is now weighing in on Senator Marco Rubio's comments on homosexuality as fitting neatly with left-wing activists.

Sen. Rubio (R-FL), a presidential hopeful, recently stated, "I don't believe that your sexual preferences are a choice."

Barber, Matt (Liberty Counsel)But Matt Barber, founder of Barbwire.com and a constitutional law expert, tells OneNewsNow Rubio has not done his research and is flowing with cultural trends rather than the truth.

"The answer is that not even the American Psychiatric Association believes that people are born gay," he reports. "They have acknowledged that there is no biological or scientific evidence whatsoever to suggest that people are born that way."

The general view of professionals is that children's psychological environments or incidents that have happened to them through the years tilts them toward or away from same-gender attraction.

"He is simply parroting the talking points, the socio-political talking points of liberal activists, of progressive activists, who for political purposes would suggest that people are born gay," Barber laments.

But the he is hopeful Senator Rubio will arm himself with the facts and publicly present the truth about homosexuality as the campaign progresses.
