ISIS beheadingsA conservative columnist says it makes no sense that the Obama White House seems blind to the "unfolding genocide" of Christians in the Middle East – unless, of course, the White House is anti-Christian.

The Obama administration is moving forward with plans to bring 10,000 Syrian Muslim refugees to the U.S. while at the same time ignoring Christians in that area of the world who want to escape violent religious persecution.

Robert Knight, a senior fellow at the American Civil Rights Union, recently penned a column called "Stopping the Christian Holocaust," in which he says Christians in the Middle East are being subjected to every barbaric act under the sun.

"From slavery to rape to torture to murder, displacement, seizure of businesses, the burning of churches," he describes. "It's been going on and on – and yet the U.S. government has taken little very little interest in this, even though it appears to be an unfolding genocide."

Robert KnightThe columnist tells OneNewsNow that President Obama appears to be going out of his way to admit thousands of Syrian Muslims – but seems to have little sympathy for Christians who arguably face an even greater threat.

"Why would the United States favor Muslim refugees while stiff-arming Christians?" he asks. "It doesn't make any sense – unless you conclude that the White House is actually anti-Christian and pro-Muslim."

Knight says in an effort to rectify this disparity, Congressman Dana Rohrabacher (R-California) is sponsoring the Save Christians from Genocide Act (H.R. 4017). But Knight says it shouldn't take an act of Congress to prompt Obama to act.
