Carlson: A 'woke' fighting force its own worst enemy

Recently, conservative Fox News host Tucker Carlson expressed his concerns about how the “Woke” culture is infecting the U.S. military, the consequences of which he believes could be disastrous. He pointed out how the acting Secretary of Defense, Chris Miller, announced the U.S. military will be changing its standards from top to bottom.

“Not to create a more effective fighting force to save your children from China or other foreign domination,” Carlson cautioned his audience. “No, in order to conform to policies formulated by the Pentagon's so-called Diversity and Inclusion Board.”

The U.S. Armed forces, Carlson went on to warn, is now using affirmative action, promoting according to external appearances, and dropping objective standards, and all of those have been called “moral imperatives” by Miller.

Bob Maginnis, senior fellow for national security at the Family Research Council, says these are social justice issues advanced by the Left in order to discard the nature of the military, which is advancement based on merit. 

"Not skin color or gender,” he says. “And to use it as a social experiment, to advance their radical views about basically a Marxist view of life that the playing field is level, just like Kamala Harris said she wants to push that merit no longer matters.”
