Joe Biden headed to Florida this week to try to boost his support among Latinos who have responded positively to President Donald Trump's embrace of religious conservative positions and his warnings of protest-related violence and socialism.

Humberto Fontova, who fled Cuba in 1961 and has written several books on the regime, says Cuban-Americans do not want to see a return to Cuba appeasement.

"Biden earlier this year said he was going to revert back to Obama's Cuba policy," Fontova notes. "When Kamala Harris went down there, she wouldn't commit. She was asked point-blank what their administration would do with Cuba."

Meanwhile, other Hispanic-Americans in Florida are supporting Trump.

Fontova, Humberto"The Venezuelans in South Florida, the ones who are eligible to vote, they're called the 'new Cubans' in Florida because they're also going Republican in a big way," the author reports. "So you've got the Venezuelans, you've got the Cubans, and you've got a large portion of Colombians, too. So the Democrats are absolutely desperate and hysterical in Florida right now."

Fontova submits that these Latino groups are too familiar with socialism and do not want it in their new country.
