I Stand With IsraelThe Trump administration is being praised for helping forge a new diplomatic relationship between Israel and the United Arab Emirates but a messianic Jewish leader says the deal harms Israel's security.

The Palestinian Authority is calling the agreement between Israel and the UAE "treason,” because it establishes full diplomatic ties between the two countries after nearly 50 years of no official ties.

The agreement is known as the "Abraham Accord" and marks the first peace treaty between Israel and an Arab country in approximately 25 years.

Markell, Jan (Olive Tree Ministries)To seal the deal, however, Israel agreed to halt the annexation in Judea and Samaria that are sought by the Palestinians for a proposed future state.

Jan Markell, founder and director of Olive Tree Ministries, tells OneNewsNow that makes the agreement a big mistake for Israel’s security.

“United Arab Emirates is not worth it,” she insists. “UAE is not threatening war with Israel.”

Gary Bauer, speaking for Christians United for Israel, sees the accord differently.

"Anything that makes process towards peace in the Middle East is good," he concludes. "And I don't believe Israel gave up anything that is central to the survival of the Israeli nation."

He contrasts this deal with UAE, considered a "moderate" country in the Middle East, which the Obama administration that tossed aside Israel and other moderate countries to woo Iran's mullahs.

Military paradeIn a nationally televised statement, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said, "Today we usher in a new era of peace between Israel and the Arab world. There is a good chance we will soon see more Arab countries joining this expanding circle of peace."

In fact, approximately 24 hours later, Oman and Bahrain were announcing plans to normalize relations, too.

Markell complains the agreement was masterminded by Jared Kushner, the President’s son-in-law, who has been leading peace efforts in the Middle East since his father-in-law took office. This new deal, she predicts, could backfire on President Trump.
