Tlaib ripped for 'uneducated' call to abolish ICE by ex-chief

Tlaib, Rep. Tashida (D-Michigan)Former Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Acting Director Thomas Homan tore into Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) Friday for insisting that America got along just fine without ICE before the 9/11 Islamic terrorist attack in 2001, calling her assertion inaccurate and “uneducated.”

He was referring to comments the Muslim Michigan congresswoman of Palestinian parents made earlier this week about completely getting rid of ICE.

“It is a broken system,” Tlaib claimed in an interview aired in a Tuesday podcast episode of Authentically Detroit. “It needs to be audited – it needs to be completely dismantled. We didn’t have ICE years ago – before 9/11 – and I can tell you we were fine.”

Ignorance is dangerous

The ex-ICE chief maintained that nearly two decades ago, ICE was formed mostly out of two legacy agencies – the United States Customs Service and the Immigration and Naturalization Service, noting how it has saved hundreds of children’s lives and hundreds of women from sex trafficking, while taking hundreds of thousands of criminal aliens charged with offences in America off the streets.

“[ICE] has been around for decades,” Homan told Fox News in an interview Friday. “This is the type of work ICE does every day. Rather than abolishing the agency that enforces the laws she enacts, maybe she should do her job.”

He said this in response to Tlaib’s recent charge to do away with ICE – a call frequently made by the Michigan Democrat, her fellow Squad members and most of her Party.

“If you don’t like what ICE does, change the law, and ICE will enforce whatever laws you enact,” Homan said, directing his words at Tlaib.

Homan- who headed ICE under the Trump administration from January 2017 to June 2018 – was then asked by Fox News Host Harris Faulkner about the consequences of removing ICE.

“Every illegal alien who enters this country and demands a hearing before a judge and gets ordered removed – no one is going to make them leave,” Homan responded. “It will cause a surge at the border like we’ve never seen before. [Permitting illegal aliens to stay] will only bring more people to this country, put more in harm’s way, more women will be sexually assaulted, more children will die, the cartels get richer.”

He followed up by giving Tlaib and the rest of the ultra-left rookie congresswomen on the Squad – fellow Muslim Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.), self-proclaimed socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) and Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-Mass.), who calls Trump the “occupier” of the White House – a bit of advice.

“If they don’t like it, change it,” Homan continued. “I don’t see any other option than enforcing the law.”

ICE upping its game

It was argued that ICE had become more effective over the past two decades since it evolved from two agencies.

“[ICE’s enforcement of immigration laws has greatly improved, as operations have become] more targeted, more sophisticated,” Homan added, stressing how 89 percent of all illegals ICE arrests have criminal convictions on their records – or are currently facing criminal charges. “Now, any arrest made by ICE is a targeted enforcement operation. They know exactly where they are going – exactly who they are going to arrest.”

With ICE only making 35 arrests on the latest raids last week after initially anticipating more than 2,100 before an inner leak to a leftist Washington paper announced its originally scheduled sweeps – and with Democrats such as House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and other pro-immigration activists giving illegals instructions on how to avoid being arrested and deported by ICE – Faulkner inquired whether open-borders activists such as Tlaib and the rest of the Squad put U.S. citizens in danger by interfering.

“’Absolutely,’ [Homan] replied, citing statistics such as the removal of 140,000 illegal aliens who committed a criminal offense against U.S. citizens after arriving in the country,” WND noted from the interview.“[Homan also noted that] the investigative branch of ICE – Homeland Security Investigations [HSI] – reported in fiscal 2017 the arrest of more than 34,000 gun and drug traffickers, [and] said ICE seized more than 90,000 pounds of opioids … enough ‘to kill every man, woman and child in this country.’”

Statistics prove that ICE continues to make America a safer place to live.

“In 2017, more than 2,700 child predators were arrested by HSI special agents and more than 900 victims identified or rescued,” WND’s Art Moore informed. “In addition, more than 300 women were rescued from traffickers.”

Tlaib balks when asked if Israel has right to exist

Tlaib, Rep. Tashida (D-Michigan)When pointedly asked if Israel has the right to exist, Muslim pro-Palestinian Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) balked and dodged the question, saying Israel “exists” to the “detriment” of Palestinians, but then conceded when asked again, insisting at the same time that Palestinians also have a right to human rights – somewhat disqualifying her answer.
