Dome of the RockA Messianic Jewish leader maintains that some Christians in Israel are concerned about President-elect Donald Trump's plans to move the United States Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

As OneNewsNow has reported earlier, it is quite evident that the incoming Trump administration is serious about the president elect's pledge to move the embassy out of Tel Aviv to Israel’s capital. One indication that Trump will make good on his promise is the choice he made for U.S. ambassador to Israel – David Friedman.

“[I am looking forward to carrying out my duties from] the U.S. embassy in Israel's eternal capital, Jerusalem," Friedman expressed.

Olive Tree Ministries Founder and Director Jan Markell is confident that Trump is serious about his pledge to move the embassy to the holy city.

I think in Trump's heart of hearts, he truly wants to be a blessing to the only democracy in the Middle East,” Markell expressed. “Doesn't that make sense?"

However, Markell indicates that there are believers in Israel who are not on board with the idea of a U.S. Embassy in the heart of Jerusalem.

"I'm hearing from believers in Israel saying that may not be the best thing to happen because the Arabs will take it out on the Israelis, and the Intifada and the attacks against Israelis will become much worse because some of these folks are monsters – and unfortunately, they behave in such a way that the consequences are horrific," the Jewish believer announced.

However, Markell is still confident that despite any opposition, the embassy will eventually be moved under a Trump administration.
