Guantanamo Bay prison (Gitmo)President Barack Obama is hurrying to transfer up to 22 more militant Islamic combatants from Cuba’s Guantanamo Bay Detention Center (Gitmo) to the Middle East before vacating the White House.

The hotly contested move by the president to remove more and more Gitmo detainees – with many of the terrorists he previously released or transferred already returning to the battlefield in the name of jihad to kill more victims – is a last-ditch attempt in an effort to fully evacuate the Cuban facility.

Gutting Gitmo

In anticipation of President-elect Donald Trump taking over the keys to the Oval Office next month, Obama is looking to follow through with his plan to do away with the naval station that the incoming Republican wants to keep.

Obama’s latest reported transfer is an effort to send the Islamic militants back to the terrorist-harboring nations of Saudi Arabia, Oman the United Arab Emirates, according to The Hill.

This attempt to jettison the few remaining prisoners from Gitmo comes as no surprise to the head of the American Center for Law and Justice, Jay Sekulow.

“It should be unbelievable, but yet it is completely believable,” Sekulow insisted. “This is exactly what we warned would happen when we told you about the 73 days of danger – the 73 days between the presidential election and the inauguration of the new president.”

Grave consequences

The lead attorney of the Christian legal group has warned America for some time about the imminent danger in which Obama’s politically correct agenda to vacate Gitmo places the world.

“The ACLJ has specifically called attention to the Department of Defense’s own numbers that show that one in three Gitmo detainees will return to the battlefield.,” Sekulow reminded. “Can the United States guarantee that any detainee – once transferred to Oman, for example – will not be released by Oman … or that they will not escape? And if the Department of Defense’s numbers hold, for any three released or escaped combatants, one will return to the battlefield – which could be in Iraq or New York City.”

The host of the conservative Jay Sekulow Live radio program argues that the outgoing commander-in-chief’s move to dismantle the American detention facility in Cuba is not only “unacceptable” and “unnecessary,” but strongly advised against by the U.S. Congress.

“Congress has acted to stop President Obama from shutting down Gitmo, relinquishing control of Gitmo to Cuba and to restrain President Obama from releasing or transferring enemy combatants from Guantanamo Bay, but congressional action and the constraints of constitutional authority have not seemed to stop President Obama thus far,” Sekulow recounted. “With just one month left in office, does anyone really think President Obama will not cross the line to accomplish his purposes or satisfy his leftist base?”

He also reminded America that Obama is releasing dangerous Islamic terrorists in the midst of numerous deadly jihadist attacks taking place across Europe.

“Remember, all this is happening against a backdrop of an ISIS terror attack in Berlin, Germany, this week,” Sekulow pointed out. “Another terrorist attack occurred in Turkey when Russia’s ambassador to Turkey was executed in cold blood.”

The Christian leader also mentioned the grave threat the Obama administration is putting Americans in by bulldozing his plan forward to welcome and resettle thousands of new Islamic refugees from jihadist nations – such as Syria and Somalia – further escalating the probability of home-grown terrorist attacks and jeopardizing national security.

“Refugees from troubled nations are continually implicated in terror attacks, and ISIS proclaims it exploits the refugee process – and the Obama Administration says they want to bring in more,” Sekulow impressed. “As another example of this deadly and failed foreign policy, news recently broke that President Obama made a secret deal with Australia to receive a ‘classified’ number of refugees – as many as 2,400 – that Australia deemed too dangerous to allow on their shores.”

The patriotic Washington, D.C.-based attorney – who has already collected more than 110,000 signatures for ACLJ’s online petition titled “Don’t Close Gitmo and Release Terrorists,” – is sounding the alarm by alerting Americans about the imminent danger in which the president is putting American citizens through his Gitmo and refugee policies.

“America is at war – our enemies have declared war – [and] our enemies have told us and shown us how they will fight,” Sekulow warned. “It is foolish to release captured enemy combatants to other nations who do not have America’s best interests in mind.”
