Gospel for Asia (GFA) is known internationally for its work in spreading the gospel to India and nearby nations. Now, ministry founder KP Yohannan tells One News Now the name has been changed.

"Every day I'm more convinced the only, capital O-N-L-Y, the only answer and hope for this dark, broken world is the Lord Jesus Christ -- His death, burial, and resurrection," Yohannan begins.

While work in Asia will continue, GFA World is now extending its full-force effort into Africa, where a number of countries are Muslim and where wars, AIDS and COVID-19 have taken a tremendous toll, leaving many children without parents.

Also, while Yohannan once limited his ministry to preaching, teaching, and handing out gospel tracts, witnessing desperate, starving, and unhealthy populations contributed to the ministry's expansion.

"It took God's mercy to open my eyes to see Jesus, believe it or not," the ministry founder shares. "He showed the model not to leave speaking of God's kingdom and God's love, but He cared for the sick and poor and broken, and He cried over the suffering."

So, GFA World will be taking its programs, pioneered in India, to Africa, and as Yohannan points out, that includes its highly successful Bridge of Hope program, which ministers to children, including those without parents, and presenting the Bible's message of hope to them.
