A good time to share the Good News

Bible 1An evangelical leader says the Christmas season provides a wonderful opportunity to share the gospel.

According to a new survey from the American Culture & Faith Institute (ACFI), just one out of every five adults (21 percent) "strongly affirms a personal responsibility to share their religious beliefs with people who hold different beliefs than they do."

Rohrer, Sam (PPN)Reacting to that, Sam Rohrer of the American Pastors Network says there's no better time to point people to Jesus than at the Christmas season because the entire world knows about - even if all don't fully observe the holiday.

"It's a perfect time," he says, "because this is perhaps the one time of the year when people's minds focus to a manger, to God, to Jesus Christ, to Christ in Christmas."

Another reason why it's a great time to spread the Good News, he tells OneNewsNow, is because a new year is just around the corner.

"New Year's is a perfect time to talk about beginning things anew," says Rohrer, "and there's no better way to begin a new year than to begin a new year with Jesus Christ for those who don't know him."
