Fox News logoDemocrats are openly asking major cable carriers why they are doing business with conservative news outlets but a Republican is asking why her colleagues are trying to censor right-wing news.

"They are trying to silence conservatives," Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) told the "Washington Watch with Tony Perkins" program. "They are trying to take away the ability of the people to hear two sides of a story. It is the ‘cancel culture’ run amok."

One News Now has reported that two Democrat lawmakers, Anna Eschoo and Jerry McNerney, wrote service providers Roku, DISH, AT&T, Verizon, and others demanding to know why Fox News, One America News, and Newsmax are carried by the providers, where they engage in “misinformation.”

Tony Perkins, president of Family Research Council, warned the GOP senator that her colleagues are “strong arming” the corporations.

"Of course, nothing in their letter,” he said, “points to MSNBC and CNN for the disinformation that they've put out there."

"Think about that," warned Blackburn. "They are trying to get your cable carrier to drop Fox or Newsmax or OAN. And why? Because they have a political opinion, a difference of a political opinion, with them."
