'In His Image' logoThe director of a new documentary on gender and sexuality from a biblical perspective is encouraged by the impact it is already making in the lives of viewers.

Kendra White of American Family Studios (AFS), director of In His Image, shares that many parents have expressed their gratitude for providing them with a solid resource and with hope.

"A lot of parents and families are struggling with this issue, and they're contacting us, specifically asking for more resources, and we have a ton of resources … for parents and families and other ministries that will partner with you to counsel you through your grief and know how to love and speak truth into the lives of others," White continues.

Since the October 20th digital release, more than 230,000 people have viewed the documentary.

"One of the comments that was the most impactful for me was an individual who says, I watched this film, and the truth that was presented in it changed my mind on this issue," White relays. "That has been really encouraging, to see that there are people that do want to hold to the authority of Scripture. They want to know what God's Word says, but they're struggling with what culture is telling them they have to believe if they want to be 'loving.'"

Learning from Scripture how to love individuals and also hold to the truth of God's Word is a powerful thing, says White.

"This issue on college campuses is huge," the documentary director continues. "We are encouraging Christian college campuses to host a screening of In His Image, and if you would be so bold on your secular campus to bring this film, we want to help you get the light to the darkness."

The documentary is free to view online.

Editor's note: In addition to being available on the website, a two-disc DVD set (with a study booklet) is available as a resource for Sunday school classes and small groups and/or to individuals who donate to the ministry of AFS. The two-disc set includes more than three hours of bonus material – extended interviews, deleted scenes, and answers to some of the commonly asked questions that many Christians have on these issues.

American Family Studios is a division of the American Family Association, the parent organization of the American Family News Network, which operates OneNewsNow.com.
