media news industry (illustration)A recent analysis of the mainstream media's coverage of Donald Trump shows that true to form, it was overwhelmingly negative.

According to the Media Research Center's (MRC) latest analysis, since House Democrats began their impeachment proceedings, ABC, NBC, and CBS have spent at least 124 hours of programming on wall-to-wall live coverage of the Democrat effort to impeach president Trump. During that time, the media watchdog tallied 1,053 comments evaluating President Trump and determined that 93 percent of the coverage was negative.

Frank Turek of CrossExamined.org told the crew of "Today's Issues" on American Family Radio that he was amazed by that figure.

"I submit to you, ladies and gentlemen, that no president in our history deserves 93 percent negative coverage," he said. "Satan would get better coverage, OK? It's so obviously left in our country when it comes to the media."

Impeachment was far and away the leading topic of the evening news on the Big Three. They spent 849 minutes on impeachment between September 24 and the first of January, and only nine minutes on the economy. The Dow Jones gained about 2,000 points during that same period.

Turek, Frank (Christian author)While he acknowledges the media tilts decidedly to the left, Turek does not blame the left.

"It's the Christians' fault, because 100 years ago, we got out of society and we said all of these jobs like journalism and media and politics and law and all these things – you shouldn't get in; those are dirty," Turek submits.

He says Christians of that era decided instead to focus their efforts on uniquely spiritual callings, like those of a pastor or missionary.

"You wonder why society goes godless when all the godly people get out of it," he concludes.
