ABC airs view to a political slaughter

Gabbard vs BeharThe long-running ABC talk show “The View” has emerged as ground zero for some headline-worthy fireworks in recent days.

Conservatives are used to getting a catty and caustic reception from the liberal panel of women, including shrill-talking Joy Behar, but it appeared Donald Trump Jr. had her number last week when she complained about his father’s combative tone.

“Even if people are working,” Behar lectured, “we don't want to have a country like that. Do you understand that?”

“We've all done things that we regret,” Don Jr. replied. “I mean, if we're talking about things that bring the discourse down, Joy, you've worn blackface. Whoopi, you said of Roman Polanski, it wasn't ‘rape-rape’ when he raped a child.”

Whoopi Goldberg immediately jumped to the defense of her white co-host, and also denied the “rape-rape” story, but both stories are indeed true.

At almost the same time Don Jr. was feuding with the liberal co-hosts, Democrat presidential candidate Rep. Tulsi Gabbard also showed up to fight a word of words with Behar after the co-host disparaged her on-air as a “useful idiot” for the Russians.

Behar appeared anxious weeks ago to piggy back on her hero Hillary Clinton, who had called Gabbard a “favorite of the Russians” and claimed the Putin regime was “grooming” her for a third-party run.

“I don't say that Tulsi is an agent,” Behar said on the show. “I just think that she could be a useful idiot like Trump is a useful idiot to the Russians.”

But then the lawmaker, who is also a major in the Army National Guard, showed up and sat down next to Behaor.

“You have accused me of being a traitor to my country,” said Gabbard, eyes locked on Behar. “A Russian asset, a Trojan horse, or a useful idiot, I think, was the term you used.”

“Well, useful,” Behar replied.

“Which basically means,” Gabbard continued, “that I'm naïve or lack intelligence to know what's going on.”

“But that's a Russian term,” Behar managed to reply. “They use that.”

Gabbard, meanwhile, has asked though attorneys for Clinton to retract her recent comments, which the lawmaker called “defamatory” and untrue.
