Liberal bias marches on, despite banning of Farrakhan

Facebook NOT like buttonAnti-Semite Louis Farrakhan has never run afoul of the powers that be among the social media giants – until now. But Facebook came after several noted conservative pages as well.

It took months of phone calls and negative publicity, but Facebook has finally banned the Nation of Islam leader following anti-Semitic rants like this:

Farrakhan: "So when they talk about Farrakhan [and] call me an anti-Semite – stop it. I'm anti-termite."

Last week's move finally came following all of Facebook's alleged anti-conservative bias – the shadow-banning, the seemingly random deletion of Christian posts, the emphasis on making everyone feel safe. But along with Farrakhan went several conservative firebrands, including Milo Yiannopoulos, Laura Loomer, and conspiracist Alex Jones.

Dan Gainor of Free Speech Alliance (a coalition of groups headed up by Media Research Center) has been calling on Facebook to at least be fair.

Gainor

"I hate that any of these people are being banned," Gainor tells OneNewsNow. "I would like in a free society that we could all hear what one another has to say. But that's not happening online, so [we urged them to] at least be consistent – and they were."

But he says even when Facebook looks like it's correcting a bias, it's still working from a liberal point of view – and he doubts the cuts have stopped.

"The left, in general, is trying very hard to silence not just conservatives but particularly anybody who was instrumental or seen as pro-Trump in 2016 so that they can win in 2020," he argues.

The problem, according to Free Speech Alliance, is that social media giants "in collusion with the radical left" are rooting out and silencing conservative speech on their platforms and across the worldwide web. "This is the worst threat to free speech our country has ever faced," says the FSA website.

Free Speech Alliance has labeled the Internet as "the new battleground for liberal media bias."
