MSM: Hamas sends in babies and it's all Trump's fault

Palestinians border fence protestTo hear the mainstream media (MSM) tell it, Israel gunned down peaceful demonstrators this week who were merely angry over moving the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem, and it's all Donald Trump's fault.

But the truth, some are saying, is nothing like the news reports.

Thousands of Palestinian protesters stormed the border fence in Gaza this week with TV cameras recording, ensuring that sympathetic reporters would witness a one-sided clash with the Israeli army that claimed more than 50 lives, including an infant who reportedly died from inhaling tear gas.

"All of those babies are dead," Eddie Glaude, a Princeton professor, complained on MSNBC (see video below) while nearly in tears. "All of those people are dead. They're dead."

Some observers, meanwhile, are questioning why a parent brought an infant to a violent protest and why the media is not asking such questions to Hamas, the terror group that controls the Gaza Strip.

Speaking to Fox News during the clashes, writer and speaker Ben Shapiro pointed out that Hamas was whipping up its own people to attack the border fence, knowing that gullible media would side with them over Israel.

"The media are playing propaganda wing for a terrorist group, which has made clear their intent," Shapiro said. "There are people who are storming the border attempting to kill Israeli soldiers, sending kites with incendiary devices."

A news interview with one protester, in fact, ended up making Shapiro's point, when a National Public Radio reporter asked the man why he had drawn a swastika on his kite.

Doing so, the reporter lectured, only helps the Israelis "discredit" the protesters' as bad people.

"This is actually what we want them to know – that we want to burn them," the man replied to the reporter.

There are also reports, citing a Hamas spokesman, who admitted that many of those killed - as many as 50 of them - are trained Hamas terrorists.

Shapiro, who is Jewish, also told Fox News that it was "insane" to link the border attacks with the embassy opening, since the Palestinians have been attacking the fence for weeks.

"It's just the media haven't wanted to cover it," Shapiro complained, "and they prefer to blame President Trump."

The loss of life is the fault of Hamas, not Israel, UN Ambassador Nikki Haley told a Security Council meeting Tuesday. That's because, she said, Hamas lied to its own people claiming the Israeli soldiers had withdrawn and urging people to burst through the fence.

And the result of the lie - at least the inevitable result - was broadcast on cable channels for all to see.
