ABarack Obama 1ccording to a renowned American syndicated columnist, President Barack Obama has caused the Democratic Party “incalculable damage” during his two terms in the White House.

Charles Krauthammer took his criticism of the president a step further by calling him “semi-delusional” for stressing that Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s loss to her Republican rival Donald Trump in last month’s election does not matter that much – insisting that the Democratic Party just lost one election.

Dems on downward spiral

The political pundit argued that ever since Obama stepped foot in the White House in January 2009, the progressive party has lost much ground to the Republicans.

“The damage his party has suffered in his eight years in office is incalculable,” Krauthammer asserted, according to Townhall.

He contends that those who are forecasted to champion the Democratic Party in the next presidential election are a dying breed – literally.

“The reason that when people talk about who is going to run in 2020, they’re all octogenarians or nearly because the bench has been wiped out,” Krauthammer commented. “There has been a prairie fire.”

The columnist concedes that as the president over the past eight years, Obama has indeed been popular with many, but he said that the outgoing commander-in-chief has “overreached as a liberal” – to the detriment of Democratic elected officials serving in the federal, state and local governments.

Eight years of failure

Krauthammer points out that the president’s numerous failures – throughh bulldozing forward his big government agenda – all serve to hurt Democrats in future elections.

“With Obamacare, with cap and trade, with all of the regulations ... and he had a very slow recovery,” he continued, noting that the American public will be reminded about the Democratic president’s failed policies for years after he vacates the White House.

Despite Obama’s unswerving confidence and constant claims to victory regarding numerous controversial decisions he has made from behind the desk of the Oval Office, Krauthammer argues that he has not fooled the majority of Americans over the past eight years.

“He thinks that he succeeded,” the pundit asserted – alluding to the president’s continued tendency to pat himself on the back, despite his numerous failed policies. “[However], the country doesn’t.”

Burying himself

Krauthammer then let the president’s own words that he reverberated during non-presidential election years – concerning the far-Left agenda he has pushed since day one of his presidency – bury himself.

“Obama himself said in 2010 and 2014, and then 2016, ‘I’m not on the ballot, but my policy, my legacy, is,’” the columnist recalled.

He then indicated that Obama – as both president and policy maker – will be emblazoned in history books as leading the Democratic Party and America to eight years of backwardness and failure.
