TV watchdog Parents Television Council says it's disappointed that CBS aired a racy Victoria's Secret commercial in one of its newest shows – one that likely draws impressionable young girls.
CBC is airing the first season of "Supergirl," which appears to be a success for the network.
That's why PTC spokesperson Melissa Henson questions the Victoria's ads, since it appears CBS can have its choice of advertisers.
"Surely CBS could have said, This runs counter to the message that we're trying to communicate in this show," Henson complains.
Instead, the ad ran 45 minutes into the premiere of "Supergirl," which stars Melissa Benoist as the comic book character and cousin of Superman.
Henson says CBS "undid all the good they did with the messaging in the show by airing that Victoria's Secret ad."
