CanadaA Christian educator and pundit in Canada is skeptical that the Canadian justice system will hold an Islamic terrorist accountable for a rampage two years ago in Edmonton.

Abdulahi Hasan Sharif, 32, is from Somalia. He faces 11 counts of attempted murder, aggravated assault, and dangerous driving. Authorities say on September 30, 2017, he allegedly conducted a two-vehicle, ramming and stabbing rampage severely injuring a police officer and four other people. He was carrying an Islamic flag in one of the ramming vehicles.

"Unfortunately in Canada, our government has more sympathy for the terrorists than they do for the victims," says Dr. Charles McVety, president of Canada Christian College and of the Institute for Canadian Values.

McVety

"This man is a terrorist who has crossed borders illegally, numerous borders frankly – and our liberal media really doesn't even talk about the danger that a man like this presents to law-abiding citizens."

But McVety is thankful Sharif is in the courts. "Hopefully we will see our courts act appropriately. But don't hold your breath," he adds, "because Justin Trudeau actually reduced terrorism down to a possible misdemeanor. He reduced 200 violent crimes down to misdemeanors. Our prime minister is soft on crime."

McVety hopes Trudeau will no longer be prime minister following Monday's national elections.
